Welcome to Burning Maple Lodge, home of Lightfoot Portuguese Water Dogs. Here, my husband and I raise, train, groom and love our canine companions. From puppyhood, our dogs experience the joys of open rural spaces and develop their innate love for water by visiting the pond in their very own front yard.

We are Alex, William and our son Liam Vinopal. I (Alex) have been raising, grooming, training, whelping and loving Portuguese Water Dogs since I was given my first puppy in 2003. I am driven by a deep desire to see these dogs be happy, healthy family companions that conform to the breed standard.
